Recall then that you have received the spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear in God’s presence. Guard what you have received. God the Father has marked you with his sign; Christ the Lord has confirmed you and has places his pledge, the Spirit, in your hearts. – Saint Ambrose, doctor of the Church

Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seals and confirms the baptized in union with Christ and calls them to greater participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church.

Teenagers: Confirmation classes for 11th grade students are held monthly on Sundays from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in church from September through May.* Students attending public, private, or parochial schools all begin their studies in September. A retreat and the celebration of Confirmation occur the following Fall.

*Prior record of CCD or religious education is required.

If you are an adult and are interested in being confirmed, please see the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) box from the “School of Religion” section on the website.  Adult Confirmation is celebrated every year on the Solemnity of Pentecost at Saint Louis Cathedral.

Please click on the Confirmation link found under the Information tab on the top left of this website for necessary forms.
