Youth and Young Adult

Catholic Youth Orginization(CYO)

St. Clement's CYO is a group of teens in grades 8-12 who together serve and praise God while strengthening their faith life through prayer, service, and friendship.  The most visible and consistent gathering is the weekly 5:00pm Sunday Mass.  Here, teens have the opportunity to serve through singing in the youth Choir, being a lector, Eucharistic minister, or usher.  Our CYO meets regularly after the 5PM mass.

Other events include service, social, spiritual, and sports events.  St. Clement's CYO is also a regular participant in the Archdiocese CYO sports leagues.  These include volleyball, basketball, football, and cabbage ball.  Another important aspect of CYO is the group's participation in Archdiocesan youth events like World Youth Day and Abbey Youth Fest.  We also have an annual Summer Mission trip that is important in forming our Youth to be disciples of Christ.

Our CYO also periodically participates in trips like NCYC, and March for Life.  These events allow St. Clement's teens to meet and be encouraged by their peers, not only in the New Orleans area, but all over the country!
